nothing but class


above is a picture of a pitcher who was about to throw a perfect game, a feat many pitchers never achieve through out their entire career. on the very last out needed to end the game and to land Armando Galarraga's place in baseball history, the first base umpire erroneously calls the runner safe. Jim Joyce later admits to blowing the call that cost Armando Galarraga's perfect game, replays later confirmed that the throw did beat the runner to first and that the runner was indeed out. None the less the ruling on the field had to stand and Galarraga's perfect game was left with exactly 1 imperfection.

as a sign of forgiveness, above is a picture of Galarraga shaking Joyce's hand the next day. the gesture above puts a whole new meaning the saying, "it is what it is." pretty dam inspirational if you ask me.
